How has Covid affected business?

One of the major impacts of Covid was remote working. During Covid we all had to adapt and work remotely. Obviously this was a challenge, but it also opened the gates to doing business with companies that were naturally further away. if we had to work remotely anyway, why not use a business from overseas for the work and potentially leverage cheaper work or more specialised services. Whether you have returned to the office or not this has left a lasting affect.  More businesses are now doing business remotely and this has meant the need to be local to do business has been well and truly changed. On one hand this is an opportunity to do business globally, on the other hand this has opened the door to global competition.

Global competition means your company has to compete with all those international companies and it needs more innovation and creativity to stand out from the increased masses available to do the work. If you don’t have a reason to stand out then you are only competing on price and that might end up being a tough place to compete with cheaper labour available in different parts of the world. Making a high performing team is one way of providing the business with higher levels of creativity and innovation that you need.
